On Tuesday 18th December we recorded our voice over for the whole documentary. After making more changes to it we now have a finished product. The voice over will be placed in appropriate places throughout the 5 minute extract of our documentary.

Recording and Editing Radio Trailer

On Tuesday 18th December I recorded and started editing our radio trailer for our documentary. I used a voice recorder to record the script and I used Adobe Premier Pro to edit. Below is a screenshot of the radio trailer production.

I also videoed myself editing to prove that this work is original and I created it myself.

Drafting Print Advert

Since Gemma was in charge of the print advert she had to first draft on paper what she would create later on. Below is a picture of what she drew before starting to make it.

After talking in our group we have made the decision that our print advert will appear in music magazines and teenage magazines. This is so people in our target audience will know about our documentary and will tune in to watch it.

Archive Material Filming

On Monday morning during our media lesson, myself and Gemma filmed archive material which we would later use in our documentary. We first filmed our archive material through the computer using different websites, however looking back at the film there were lines across the computer screen. Due to this we printed the pages out and then filmed them so the quality was better. Below are the pictures I took while Gemma was filming.

Re-done Opening Titles

On the 23rd of November as a group we filmed the opening titles again. We decided that the first time we did this there was too much space around Carly and we could not see what was on the T-Shirts properly. Due to this we filmed the opening titles again using Lauren, we filmed in a close up of the T-Shirts so that everyone could see exactly what was on the T-Shirts. I think this worked well.
Below are the pictures we took while setting up.

Editing

On the 21st Noevember we started editing our 5 minute extract from our documentary. Lauren was in charge of editing while myself and Gemma were focusing on the edit decision list. While Lauren was editing we set up a camera and filmed her edit some of our extract, here is the video we took. Lauren also took screen grabs of the documentary production, these are also displayed below.

Edit Decision List

Here is our groups edit decision list, where we had to decide and type up which shots we were using, what order they would go in and the timing. This is displayed in a table on Slide Rocket. At first I created this on a Microsoft Word account with the intension of uploading it onto Scribd. However due to problems with the uploading I took screenshots of the table and uploaded it onto a Slide Rocket.

Logging

The next few lessons we had to create a table which would be our logging sheet. This consisted of watching all of our videos and deciding whether it was a good or bad take. Below is a Scribd and a Slide Rocket which show the two tables; the first Scribd is the first memory card and the Slide Rocket is the second memory card.

On the 14th November, as a group we decided to take pictures of someone wearing different T-Shirts. However, we did first decide to film someone taking off T-Shirts until they were left wearing 1 T-Shirt which had the name of our documentary on. Below are the pictures we first took.
